Studio and Materiality

The studio and workshop is my real home - my exploratory space where I relax in my body and soul, discover, enjoy, play and develop whatever the material is showing me.

My love for textiles and materiality echoes from my childhood and my need of figuring out my teenage energy, curiosity, joy, and eagerness to learn. My mother’s cloth cabinet was filled with perfectly ironed textiles and was a treasury to me. Summer dresses, bikinis, and shorts were made and sold to friends of the family.

Structure, surface, colors, combinations, softness and the surprising feel and content of a textile. I love it.

I adore natural fibers and the performance of each quality. It has always been my number one priority when designing and tailoring. I love silk, wool, cotton, bamboo, pineapple and banana fiber and of course leather.

I can´t not create - it is there all the time in my mind. I see, I feel, I move, and I do. With my love for what I do, I hope to encourage others to follow what they want, dream of, and believe in.
